A tuberculin testing and BCG vaccination campaign in Accra schools is reported and discussed. The Mantoux and Heaf multiple puncture test were used. The Heaf test seems the more valuable under the conditions prevailing in developing countries. 21,829 school children of the age from 6 to 21 were tested and 18,409 BCG vaccinated. No serious complications were seen. A year after vaccination 12,033 were retested; 95% were tuberculin positive.
