ABSTRACT Effect of soil erosion on productivity is not known for many soils of the tropics. This study was conducted to determine effect of erosion on nutrient losses from a Mollic Andosol in Kilimanjaro Region, Tanzania. Abstract: The Paul-Bunnel presumptive test for infectious mononucleosis was used to determine the incidence of Heterophile antibodies in sera of under-graduate students of University of Benin. A high incidence (71.6%) of heterophile antibodies in sera of those subjects is reported. Significant heterophile antibody titer of 1 in 80 and above was obtained in 5.9% of subjects. The aim of this study was to better understand the sexuality of youth in the context of HIV/AIDS in South Africa. The sample included 206 male and 202 female third-year African/black South African university students, with a mean age of 22.5 years (SD = 1.9), chosen from one university in a classroom setting. This paper examines the philosophical framework of Nigeria’s Economic Empowerment and development Strategy (NEEDS), its desirability, and the efficacy of its strategies. It argues that its philosophy has its roots in the African Alternative Framework to the Structural Adjustment programme (AAFSAP). The author concludes, based on a number of scenarios that the effectiveness of the NEEDS strategies are doubtful.
