A total of 611 Schistosoma mansoni infected primary school children from three schools in north-east Ethiopia were treated with praziquantel at 40 mg/kg body weight in a single dose. This study examines contraceptive knowledge and use of contraceptives among adolescent mothers in the Port Harcourt local government area of Nigeria. Three hundred and five adolescent mothers attending antenatal clinics in government-owned health facilities were given a questionnaire. 44.2% did not know when during the menstrual cycle a woman was most likely to become pregnant.
