This study examined levels of technophobia in a sample of 176 South African university students enrolled in first-year computing and psychology courses. Technophobia, which is described as negative psychological reactions towards technology, was assessed using Rosen and Weil's Measuring Technophobia instruments. This paper surveys the microeconomic evidence on the determinants of and returns to education and health in sub-Saharan Africa. A year of education is associated with 3-14% increases wages and productivity. The introduction or removal of user fees can have dramatic effects on take-up of health and education services.

This study was designed to assess levels of oral health knowledge, beliefs and self-reported behavior among teacher trainees in Uganda and Tanzania.
