This paper investigates the relative timing of solid Earth tides and thermal anomalies associated with volcanic activity at Oldoinyo Lengai (OL), Tanzania, from 2000 to 2008. This paper analyzes the effects of climate change on international migration. Theoretically, we show how climate change induces rural-urban migration that subsequently triggers international migration. Empirically, based on annual, cross-country panel data for sub-Saharan Africa, our results suggest that climate change increased internal and international migra tion.
