Uranium and thorium contents have been determined for fifteen silicate lavas, two carbonate lavas and the plutonic blocks from Oldoinyo Lengai, Tanzania. The uranium concentration was found to be fairly constant in lavas of widely variable composition whereas thorium is more abundant in the silicic phonolites. The anthropological research project involves interviews and participant observation with Sudanese refugees living in the United States. Five undergraduates share their reflections as neophyte anthropologists. Cycloguanil pamoate in an oleaginous suspension was injected into the deep muscle of the buttocks of 10 older children and adults in Ilora, Western State of Nigeria.
