Mathematica is conducting an impact evaluation of the MCC-funded Vocational Training Grant Fund (VTGF) in Namibia, which provided scholarships to Namibian youth to attend vocational training. The evaluation is examining the impacts of the VTGF on the training, employment, and income-related outcomes of trainees using a random assignment design. This report presents our findings from a baseline survey conducted with the applicants who were randomly assigned.

This paper looks at the critical and popular reception of Chinua Achebe’s first novel, Things Fall Apart, as an authentic text offering an “insider” perspective on Igbo culture.
