In recent years,the South African government has begun to recognize the importance of rural areas basic education and has set up special agencies to give impetus to its transformation.The documents issued successively by the agencies indicate the transforming trends.This paper will firstly sort out the documents and then explore the transforming trends in three facets,including school planning,curriculum content and teaching staff.
