The aim of this study was to determine the magnitude of Schistosoma mansoni and its associated risk factors in the study area. Of 422 school children, 223 (52.8%) and 199 (47.2%) were males and females, respectively. The Overall prevalence of Schistosoma mansoni infection was 24.9% (105/422).
