The Palestinian Medical Education Initiative (PMED) sought to study the feasibility of a comprehensive training program to support student mental health at a private school in East Jerusalem during the school year of 2015–2016. Our needs assessment indicated that school staff reported school-wide difficulties with student morale, bullying, and crises related to the occupation, as well as a large number of individual students with diverse learning and behavioral problems.
