The important role played by principals in ensuring effective management and strategic leadership in schools has long been the subject of intense debate. Crucial to this debate are the contextual development and support opportunities available to newly appointed principals. Although many such opportunities do exist, they are simply not sufficient to ensure sustainable school improvement. Why Financial management conduct in rural schools of South Africa has long been questionable and was proven to be defective. Many scholars who investigated this aspect argue that School Governing Bodies in South African schools cannot manage finances competently due to, inter alia, lack of proficiency and knowledge to exercise their powers effectively, irrespective of the training they have received. This is partly due to the consequences of high rates of adult illiteracy of particularly...

El Harrach wadi is one of the largest wadis that cross the plain of Mitidja. The current state of the wadi is calamitous, and its influence on the Algerian coast is disastrous since it became an open sewer; this wadi poisons the lives of local residents and has become a real problem for the whole commune of El Harrach and one of the factors degrading the water quality of the Bay of Algiers. In altitude, the pressures on the Oued El Harrach come mainly from the agricultural activity. At low...

The excessive use of fertilizers in agriculture led to the increase of the nitrates pollution of wadi Nil groundwater (Jijel, North-East Algeria). The use of fertilizers in high quantities with respect to the plants’ needs will lead to the leaching and infiltration of the excess fertilizers towards groundwater by increasing the nitrate percentage, which ultimately leads the contaminant’s level to exceed the allowed norms of water consumption (50 mg/l). The aims of this work were to assess...

The main objective of this study was to model the lithospheric structure of the Manzaz volcanic district (Hoggar) using the magnetotelluric (MT) method. For this purpose, eleven MT stations forming a 70-km long NW-SE profile, intersecting the Manzaz, were modeled. The 2D resistivity model shows an anomalously conductive crust resting on a lithospheric mantle of normal resistivity. The anomalously high conductivity of the middle and lower crust results probably from magma ascent from the...
