Abstract Abu Dabbab seismogenic zone is located close to the Egyptian Red Sea coast. It is characterized by cannon earthquakes, long continued seismic activity, and frequent earthquake swarms. Responding to WHO, the Infection Control Africa Network (ICAN) has been at the forefront of fighting Ebola since April 2015. Hospital acquired infection (HAI) is a frequent and serious burden in Palestine. HAIs increase the morbidity and mortality rates and cause longer hospital stays and higher costs. Anesthetic equipments are potential vectors for HAIs and anesthiologists themselves may act as vectors for the transmission of such diseases. This is particularly important when performing invasive procedures and when there is a risk of contact with blood and other body fluids.
