Data on trace elements for a suite of fifty rock samples from the Quaternary alkali basalt-trachyte volcano, Paka, are presented. They show that the abundances of the elements Ce, La, Nb, Nd, Rb and Y relative to Zr are constant throughout the suite and that there is a systematic increase in all of these elements from basaltic to trachytic members. Abstract A general science program and a criterion test were written in Northern Nigeria. Accompanying questionnaires to investigate attitude and socio‐economic background were designed and four ability tests were selected.
